The production of piston rods and valve spindles made of stainless steel is one of our specialties. Our production facilities are designed for complete machining in one operation. By rolling or smoothing the stainless steel piston rods, the following advantages are achieved:

• Reduction of friction
• Wear protection of the surface, as the compression increases the hardness (up to 30%, depending on the application).
• Gaskets last longer because “grinding” is reduced.
• Necessary valve closing forces can be reduced because the friction to the sealing package is reduced.
• For maximum wear protection combined with optimum corrosion resistance, we have developed the Stechorit® surface for piston rods. This has a hardness of 3000 HV and includes special rolling and a special surface coating process.

With our rolling process, we can even roller-burnish aluminum piston rods with continuous holes.
